日本小児麻酔学会第24回大会 The 24th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pediatric Anesthesiology

Participants Guide

Message from Chairperson

We are holding the 24th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pediatric Anesthesiology at Kobe Portopia Hotel on October 20th and 21st, 2018. The theme of this annual meeting is “motto hiroku, motto fukaku (wider and deeper)”. This expresses our desire to continuously provide safe and comfortable anesthesia to all children by understanding and communicating pediatric anesthesia and related areas widely and deeply.

Our program covers a wide variety of topics representing our theme. Leading experts will give lectures on simulation education, palliative medicine, chronic pain, infectious diseases and measures against infectious diseases in the Invited Lectures session. We are holding symposia on intensive care, preparation and perioperative nursing. We decided to make a video presentation session where presentation on various procedures used in pediatric anesthesia are given using videos.

We invite Dr. Adrian Bosenberg of Seattle Children’s Hospital. He is a leading authority on pediatric regional anesthesia and has a long experience in overseas cooperation. He will give us a lecture in Seizo Iwai Memorial Lecture session. We also invite Dr. Makoto Nagoshi of the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He will talk about CO2 monitor in our co-sponsored lecture.

We have selected 139 presentations for the Poster session and 20 presentations for the Young Investigator Lectures session. Excellent presentations are selected from each session. The Poster session has categories including “Idea” and “Pediatric Perioperative Nursing”. It also has “English” category to provide members an opportunity to give presentation in English.

To enhance mutual exchange among members, we prepare a display corner to introduce medical institutions focusing on pediatric anesthesia and pediatric medicine. Best presentation from Poster presentation, Young Investigator Lectures, English session and Video Presentation session will be awarded at the reception on the 20th. Please enjoy it with classical music played by staff members of Kobe Children’s Hospital.

All the conference rooms are located on the basement floor of the main building of Kobe Portopia Hotel for your convenience. We look forward to meeting you in Kobe in October.

Best Regards,

  • Tetsuro Kagawa, M.D.
